how is cloth diapers going you ask....

well besides being gosh darn cute
We have found that we LOVE our cloth diapers! they are not hard at all and if you don't mind doing laundry then you are set! Titus is 7 weeks old and we have been using cloth for 4 weeks (yes we use them when we go other places too). since i was in the hospital and when he first came home we used disposable.....the cool thing about using both is that we experienced poop explosions with both and i can say now that i have experienced both, cloth holds in the poop way better!....the only time cloth mess's up his cloths is our fault not the diapers fault (i sometimes forget to tuck in the prefold into the cover:)) I did the math and in those 4 weeks we have already paid for all our pre folds (we have 30 prefolds...so we can go about 3 days before we need to wash them)
if you don't know what a pre fold is this is it (its old school...with out pins) we use snappy's instead of pins

these are some of the cute covers we have. my favorite :)
jons favorite (cuz its Velcro instead of snap)
there are 3 different kinds of cloth diapers,

1.) the cheapest is pre fold (what we use) the reason its so cheap is because you can reuse the covers....we usually use at least 1-2 a day instead of 10 a day:)
2.) pocket diaper, next cheapest, not as much work as a pre fold but you do have to wash everything every time.
3.) AIO (all in one) most expensive but the least work....everything is all sewn together so its like a disposable diaper (it does take longer to dry tho)

With all 3 there are so many different brands out there, we are very blessed that the brand we picked works awesome for us!!! ( thirsties brand)

in sickness and in health

Jon really ment those words at the altar in sickness and in health........If you didn't already know this i spent 2 weeks in the hospital (not including the short time giving birth to Titus :) )
They are still not sure what exactly happened......some how my appendix decided to be on the wrong side and i had a bunch of abscesses all around (side note what im telling you may not all be right because i was kinda in and out of it). So they went in and removed my appendix and all the abscesses. during this whole time they werepumping me full of anit biotics and non of the pain meds worked for me or they made me get sick...They thought i was doing better and put me on full liquid diet......but shortly after we found out my insides wouldnt work! So i spent all day throwing up green vile (sorry TMI)......then i was back to just ice chips.
What i learned from all of this
1.) Jon took in sickness and in health to a hole new level......he had to help me shower, he pumped me 2 times a day to keep some of my breast milk supply up, he slept on a roll away bed every night, he helped me in and out of bed, he sat in the bathroom while i had diarrhea, being a mom to Titus cuz i couldn't, and put cold wash cloths on my body cuz i kept sweating.....there is so much more but i can't remember it all!
2.) my parents are amazing my dad reading to titus at the hospital
, my mom was at the hospital almost everyday taking care of me and Titus! my mom cried with me cuz i couldn't handle everything that was happening to me. My parents took Titus for some of the nights because Jon couldn't take care of me and Titus over night it got to be to much for him and i wouldn't sleep every time Titus woke up.
3.) my brother and sister in-law are beyond awesome....they also had their fare share of Titus at night! Jamie would come and sit with me so i could kinda feel like a mom having Titus there.
sleeping with titus
jamie finding titus's magic sleep spot :)
4.) we have so many friends and family that love us so much i can't even express our gratitude!!! all the flowers, gifts for Titus, and dinners everyone has made for us! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!
5.) it was extremely hard for me to ask for help especially for stuff i never in a million years thought i would ever ask help for (like asking my husband to wash my hair for me or take me to the bathroom!
6.) my friend kathleen is also another person who has done way to much she also stayed at the hospital to help me and Titus and my mom while Jon did some work (someone has to make the money) good thing she is a nurse cuz she was there the day of the throwing up green vile, and for trying to get me to go pee.....i was so out of it i was so embarrassed later thinking about it
7.) jon's parents all so helped us so much too they took Sedona (you know that's a hard thing to do:)) and cleaned our house for us and took me home from the hospital.....they also bought us diapers (since cloth diapers were not going to work so well in the hosptial and at other peoples houses) and formula since i had to pump and dump cuz of all the drugs...
8.) we have the best son ever!!! and the cutest!!! He did so well being so little and moved from home to home and hospital everyday!!! It was hard for him to transfer to formula but doing ok now....im really working on my milk supply so he can get a little bit of it still! Pray for that to multiply!!!

I just want to thank everyone for all your prayers and support during this little trial we had!!!! Prayers do work!!!

Titus James Weber

Welcome Titus James Weber!!!!!
if you want to nickname my baby please stick with Ti (not T.J.) :) or spud (according to my family) you'll have to ask Jon how this came about:)

Proud parents
9Lb 12oz 22inches long 14in head.....I feel like if men brag about their scars or broken bones.....i feel i can brag that i delivered Titus ALL NATURAL I was in labor for 20 hours (i actually started labor monday and was in and out of the hospital 3 times) we waited (along time) for my water to break on its own....and it finally did and 45 minutes later we had a beautiful (large) baby boy!!!! Sorry for the bragging.......funny story.....the other day at church someone ask how big he was and jon said 9Lb.....as we walked away i told Jon that if he is going to tell people how big he was tell them either almost 10Lb or the exact weight....cuz i feel everyone should know how much pain i was in :)
this is great grandpa Fath.....he has been really sick so we weren't able to meet him till the other day......this meeting brought up some emotions from the past......when i was born my grandpa fath's dad was really sick and after i was out of the hospital my parents took me to meet my great grandpa (i was named after my great grandpa Christian) and 3 days later he passed away......so my grandpa wanted to meet Titus.......It was a really special moment for us......We thank God for all the family and friends who are able to meet Titus and we know that on Jon's side and my side all the grandparents in heaven are watching him from above!!!!

in labor?????

So Jon and i just finished our breast feeding class and our birthing class and Jon was joking around with the teacher (who is a nurse at the hospital) saying the baby will probably come on Tuesday (because of the snow storm) and the nurse said oh no not Tuesday we have a lot of women being induced on that day (1/11/11) SERIOUSLY!!!! So of coarse on 1/10/11 around 10:30 i started tracking my contractions cuz they were really close together 2-4 min apart for about 2 hours this went on......so i decided to go to bed and see what happened.......well, jon couldn't sleep (cuz he was super excited:)) and he decided to call first nurse and of coarse she said to go to the hospital. We were there in the small room (cuz all the rooms were full) and they had me walk for a couple of hours and hooked me up to a monitor to track the contractions and the baby.......and we tried to sleep (maybe a few hours) and they checked me 3 times to see if i dilated any more.......i did just a little, but since my due date isn't till the 23 they decided to send me home........I felt pretty stupid.....but before we left i asked my Ob what should we have done and she said we did exactly as we were suppose to do since my contractions stayed that way until the next morning (i kinda felt like i was making it up)......she said she would have told me the same thing as the first nurse cuz you can't check your cervix over the phone :)
So we are suppose to go in on friday if we still haven't had him.........
Another note if i don't have him till Jan 23 he will be 9LB!!!! when they did the ultra sound, Jon asked how big his foot was cuz his hands and feet looked huge.....she measured his foot to be 3 inches!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jon says hes just going to walk right out of the womb.....i hope not :)

plan/ not to plan

If you don't already know this by now but I'm a planner and i like things to be done in advance my way :) !!! Well as you also may know that baby's change that......There are a few things that I'm very thankful for before this baby boy comes......

1.) I'm thankful for friends who have been through this before and can share their knowledge and what they will do or wont do again!!!!
2.) all my friends and family who have blessed us with A LOT of our baby needs!!! You guys are WAY to generous!!!
3.) cloth diapers we are very excited that we decided this before we had baby boy because a lot of stuff has come up financially and we were able to register for cloth diapers and also purchase them before more financial burdens came up! It really puts my heart at ease knowing that we are saving money and not adding money needs to my maternity leave since i don't get paid for it!
4.) my Chiropractor has shared some amazing things i never would have thought of during my pregnancy especially what is to come with labor.
5.) breastfeeding, i pray that i will be able to breastfeed....besides the fact that formula is so expensive it will also help me and the baby in so many ways
6.) part time work, I'm thankful that i will be able to be with our baby boy and be able to work still and help get rid of more of our debt....but also do what i love (hair) :) and feel like i'm not missing out on our sons growing up!
7.) an amazing husband who supports me with everything....breastfeeding, cloth diapers, natural labor, part time work, taking on financial burdens, and doesn't complain when i make lists that i want done before the baby is born!
8.) wanting to have natural birth (i understand complications happens and when that time comes we will deal with it then) but I feel that natural will be the best for me and baby.....so pray that i will be able to handle it! (thank you Jon and friends for supporting this and keeping me positive:))
9.) for beautiful safe crib (my dad made), nursery being done, safe warm home
10.) lots and lots of love from friends and family who are excited for our baby boy Weber and for spoiling him before his even born!!
keep us in your prayers please!!!! Especially since everyone says this is going to be a strain on our marriage after the baby is born and changes our routine a lot!!! pray pray pray!
