dryer sheets...to use or not to use????

So i found out the other day that you shouldn't use dryer sheets.....why? you ask! Apparently when you buy a new dryer they tell you not to use them because all it does is coat everything including the lint trap......so technically you are suppose to be able to take the lint trap out and run water through it (after you use dryer sheets you can't) which that is bad because if water can't go through it neither can air......that is one of the main causes for fires in your dryer!!!!! Then I was also told the only reason we use dryer sheets is for static and smell.....well smell doesn't really do anything and static (i hate static especially working in the salon!) do you know how your stuff gets stat-icky....cuz you dry your clothes to long!!! I know that's what i do cuz i hate damp clothes!!!! At the cloth diaper class they asked us how long do you think it takes to dry a fleece blanket (cuz we all know that fleece gets the most static) well i don't know about you but i always set my dryer to 60minutes for a full dryer.......well it only takes 15-20 minutes to dry a fleece blanket (try it). So i have been trying to dry all our clothes on less time and i'm surprised i can dry everything in WAY less time......so we are saving money on dryer sheets and electricity :) what a good day :)
Rockin Green detergent all i can say is LOVE IT!!!!! Jon even loves it.....he says he can tell a difference in how his close smell (when he sweats) and how they feel!!!!!! so now we are saving money on detergent cuz we are using WAY less!!!!!!

  1. I was shocked to find out about all the really bad for you chemicals in dryer sheets too! So, now we use Mrs. Meyer's dryer sheets (no bad for you ingredients and yucky "coat-y" stuff), and dryer balls to keep it all smelling pretty and keep the static at bay. :D
